The Talented Dickie Greenleaf — inspired by the fashions of the film (men’s and women’s wear alike), and an era of clothing cut closely and carefully to the body. In an Amalfi palette of coastal and earth tones.

Faces, Places — inspired by a discovered connection between the work of Edward Hopper and Alfred Hitchcock film “Rear Window” and their interest in what we do when we think no one is watching. In a palette of classic primaries left out in the sun too long.

Out of the Labyrinth — inspired by the Greek myth of Ariadne’s abandonment on Naxos and making a life of her own from scratch on an empty, rocky island. In a classical renaissance palette.

“Actual space is intrinsically more powerful and specific than paint on a flat surface…it isn’t necessary for a work to have a lot of things to look at, to compare, to analyze one by one, to contemplate. The thing as a whole, its quality as a whole, is what is interesting.”

Donald Judd, “Specific Objects” 1965
